BREAK THROUGH BURNOUT: TRIUMPH OVER STRESS AND ANXIETY
AND WIN BACK YOUR LIFE
by Blaire K Belle
4****

If you think that you are suffering from "burnout" whether it be from work, a relationship, or parenting; this book will help. Even if you're not felling stressed or overwhelmed, this book can help to avoid or lessen the effects.
It describes the cause, symptoms, and resolutions to stress. Simple remedies such as better sleep, eating properly, meditation, and communication.
My stress mostly comes from taking care of a handicapped family member. I will try to implement these solutions to reduce the stress and anger I feel at times with him.

THE VEILED THREAT OF MAGIC (WITCHBOUND BOOK #5)
by Natalie Gibson
2**

The story was good. The women were powerful, but their main concern was keeping the males happy sexually.
I couldn't connect with the characters because of this. Christy was the worst. She so wanted to be with a man and sexually dominated that she had sex (and called it love) with any man who wanted her. She believed that everyone was her life long love.
I would give the story itself without all the sex and "keep my man happy" "can't live without my man" bullshit a 4 star review.

LET'S GANG UP ON MY WIFE: STRIP POKER
by Hannah Wilde

Basic sexual content. A little repetitive in description. But it does get your desire flowing.
Quick, only took 15 minutes to read.

MODERN DREAM ANALYSIS SURVIVAL GUIDE
by Maria Morris
3***

I didn't really get too much from this book. A lot of repeated information and statistics.

Past history of Dream Analysis was interesting, but somewhat sparse. Author kept mentioning a book "10.000 Dream Interpretations" by Pamela Bell as a reference. I may try to find and read this book. Hopefully it helps to describe what my dreams mean and why I am dreaming them.

IRISH FAIRY TALES
by James Stephens
3***

10 stories of Finn and other champions of Ireland and Faery. Some tales are good and some are corny. But over all a fun read.
I liked the description of Conaran's daughters in "The Enchanted Cave of Crab Corran". As I imagine these girls, I had to laugh.
Full of adventure, magic, love, and betrayal.

DIGEST OF A BROKEN ROAD TRAVELER: 52 TRUTHS, TENETS, AND TEACHINGS TO HEAL THE TROUBLED SOUL
by R. Glenn Kelly
5*****

I received this book through LibraryThing's Early Reviewer's Program in return for an honest review.
Digest of a Broken Road Traveler is meant to help you navigate through times of grief and show you how to move on. Mr. Kelly was going through a rough time in his life (Loss of job, divorce, and the death of his teenage son). You need to trust in yourself, friends, family and most of all God. I found some of the ideas are helpful even for everyday life. Such as:
Exit 1 Friends Never Walk Alone - Be your own best friend.
Exit 8 Dial in the Good Stations - Only listen to the good things in your head. Don't listen to the part of your mind that says you're not enough.
Exit 18 Suffer Your Bent Wing - Embrace your little imperfections. They are there for a reason and to make you stronger.
Exit 41 From Where Do I Pedal - Always let God and Jesus ride with you on your journey through life. Even give them the power to guide you.
All of the chapters will speak to your soul in some way as your go through your mission here on earth. This is a book that I will keep on my bedside table for inspiration and healing when needed.

THE MOUSE AND THE CHRISTMAS CAKE
by Unknown Author

cute little christmas story about a mouse who makes her home in a christmas cake shaped like a castle. It takes about 2 minutes to read, it's more of a poem than a story.

CHAKRA COLORS: UNLEASH THE POWER OF YOUR EVERGY CENTERS WITH COLORFUL SUCCULENT PLANTS
by Linda Beach
3***

Interesting book but it took a little too long to get to the main point of the book.

It explains chakras, what they are, and how to unblock and re-balance them. It explains colors, color therapy, and how colors work with each chakra.

Then we get to the purpose of the book, gardening and succulents or cacti. We learn which succulents are most suited to each chakra due to color. And how to tend to your plants and help them grow and multiply.

I learned a little about gardening and meditation. Most of the information was already known. I loved the pictures of each plant. I will be purchasing a few that I really liked, and I'll see if meditating with them will help me to feel more at peace in my life.

THE PATH TO ONENESS
by Chris Comish
3***

I received this book free from LibraryThing in return for an honest review.

I am new to reiki and chakras and such. I had a bit of trouble understanding what to do or expect. The attunement directions were slim. "Just relax and ask for attunement." But I did feel a slight pressure in my head when I did the chakra meditations. And I think I may have opened up my ability to empathize. I took a family member to the doctor's. In the same building is a pain clinic and dialysis clinic. After about a half hour in the waiting room, I got a severe headache and very nauseous. When I was leaving, a woman was being taken out on a stretcher. Her daughter said that her blood pressure dropped to dangerous levels during the dialysis treatment.

I'm going to continue with the attunements and read a few other books to learn more. Hopefully I learn to understand this and it helps bring peace and clarity into my life.

JAKE WEST: THE ESTISN ALLIANCE (THE JAKE WEST TRILOGY BOOK 3)
by M.J. Webb

I think this trilogy was great. There was a lot of suspense, heartbreak, and surprises throughout the story. Ben was a great companion to The Keeper, and his comedic side was great. I want another adventure with Jake and Ben.
