I received this book from LibraryThing in return for an honest review.
Omar Bakhoum is a master of a sword called Seireiken. It is made of a rare metal called sun steel, and can absorb the essence and soul of anyone slain by it. Where the soul is forever in th service of Omar.
Omar negotiates with Captain Riuza Ngozi to take him north to the top of the world in search of the island called Ysland. A mythical place made of the sun steel.
The story was too short. It didn't leave time for much to happen, or to get to know the characters.
I found the writing style of Mr. Lewis to be superb. His characters are likable and decently developed for the length of the book. I am already reading Book 2 in the series, Freya the Huntress.
